It was a cold but sunny weekend, but that did not seem to stop the people from coming out to the festival. Lots of people walked around with bags full of item sold by all the vendors. The Minnesota Lamb and Wool was busy with people shopping.

MLWPA members Kelly and John spoke to 250 3rd grade students as they were ushered around the Coliseum at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds. They spoke with them to explain what all went into raising sheep and what the many products were that we receive from sheep.

The Minnesota Lamb and Wool Producers Association were in Washington on Wednesday for their annual D.C. fly in. They thanked me for my opposition to the WOTUS rule and my support for federal funds to control problem wolves. They also discussed additional appropriations requests for the Scrapie eradication program, wolf management funding, and USDA’s Agriculture Research Services. – via Collin Peterson’s Newsletter
