Minnesota Lamb and Wool Producers Association Spring Sheep Workshop Offers hands-on Activities The 2010 MLWPA Spring Sheep Workshop will begin at the John & Bernie Dvorak farm near Webster, on Saturday, March 20. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. Hands-on sessions at the farm include: Sheep Showmanship for Youth, De-worming & Parasite Control, Animal Care, Scrapie Update, Sheep Health, Sheep Management Basics, and more. Participants will be able to practice what they learn, and there will plenty of opportunities to Ask the Experts any of your sheep management questions. The Spring Sheep Workshop is primarily geared towards 4-H and FFA sheep project members; however, adult producers of all experience levels are welcome. The entire program will be on-farm, so dress appropriately. The John Dvorak Farm Address is 4325 Farwell Ave, Webster, MN 55088. The Holy Cross School address is Holy Cross School, 6100 37th Str. W., Webster, MN 55088. If you have any questions, or need directions, call the Dvoraks at (952)652-2402. Pre-registration by March 12 is preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. A registration fee of $15/person will help cover the cost of lunch and refreshments. MLWPA will cover speaker and other expenses. Make checks payable to MLWPA and send them to John Dvorak.
