Quilt, Afghan and Novelty Contest
General
Information
Contest is open to ALL residents of Minnesota
Entries may be constructed by individuals or groups
Entries must be completed after 2010
Entry fee is $5.00 per entry, Payable to Minnesota

Entry deadline is November 7, 2011

Division
A: Quilted Items
-
The
quilt top and back must be made from 100% natural fiber fabrics.
50% of the top must be made of wool or wool bland fabric.
The remainder of the top as well as the back must be made
from natural fiber fabrics such as linen, cotton, silk, etc.

Batting
is not required; if it is used it should be wool or other
natural fiber.

Any
construction or combination of techniques may be used (Machine
and or hand).

A
label must be securely attached to the back with the names
of the makers.

- Minimum size 36" x 42" to maximum 120" x

hanging - Minimum size 18" x 8" to maximum 36"

Division
B: Afghans or Coverlets

Yarn
or fabric must be 100% wool or at least 60% wool blend or
specialty wool fibers, including mohair, cashmere, alpaca,
camel and llama.

Item
may be knotted, crocheted or woven. Felting is acceptable

A
label must be securely attached to the back with the names
of the makers.
Division
C: Novelty Item
-
Yarn
or fabric must be 100% wool or at least 60% wool blend or
specialty wool fibers, including mohair, cashmere, alpaca.
camel and llama

Item
may be knotted, crocheted or woven. Felting is acceptable

Novelty
items include, but not limited to, slipper, Purses, scarves,
shawls, hats, mittens, etc.
